About
A graphic design studio
The Archive Express is a graphic design studio. We use graphic design skills to restore and upscale old art. The result is a high-quality digital print.
The Archive Express is run by Gaida Almehaid Graphic Designing.
What we do
We work with famous paintings and illustrations from the early 1900s. These images are very old. Often they are small, blurry, faded or damaged.
We use graphic design tools and methods to fix them:
- Upscaling: we make the image bigger and sharper.
- Restoration: we remove dust, marks and damage.
- Colour correction: we fix faded or uneven colour.
- Formatting: we prepare each image in 5 print ratios, plus the original.
A designer works on every image by hand. Every file is checked before it goes into the shop.
The result
The result is art and graphic design together. You get a clean, sharp digital file. You can print it at home, print it at a print shop, or show it on a Samsung TV.
Our experience
This work is built on years of experience in graphic design, art curation and gallery set-ups. We know how art should look on a screen, on paper and on a wall. We bring this experience to every file we make.
