Cinéma Madeleine Paris — Jean d'Ylen

Jean d'Ylen was one of the defining poster artists of 1920s Paris — a protégé of the great Leonetto Cappiello, known for bold color blocks, theatrical spotlighting, and an eye for the glamour of the city's advertising boom. Cinéma Madeleine Paris captures that world exactly: a night out at one of the grand Parisian cinema houses, rendered in the flat, poster-bright style that made d'Ylen's work impossible to walk past on the street. Restored here for anyone who wants a slice of that Art Deco nightlife on their own wall.
